Just where did 38 years go?
Back in the dawn of home computing, we all wanted to do our homework on a computer, well, that's what we all claimed, really it was all about sprite control.
We could do some maths, or try and programme the next game, but, before internet play, we had 48k of rubber keyed magic, Sir Clive, thank you, you enabled to run jump, bleep, race and swear at our tape decks as we waited for a game to load, then failing.
We may of dreamed of going all Wargames and start hacking, but, we really wanted to be a Manic Miner, a Sabre Wulf or a Chuckie Egg.
Monochrome graphics, our minds filled in all the details, and if a game didn't work, there wasn't going to be a 20 gig update, a gig, we would of laughed at trying to imagine such a size.
